People are taking a long weekend? Not many people in the office means not as many people [procrastinating] jamming the forum.

My office is just about empty... the train was empty... and traffic was light.

Wil has made quite a few posts on this topic in the few existing threads.

I will create an Announcement that will show at the top of every forum to help spread the word.

nerd: its not just happening in the FMT forum..its the entire site going down. The forum needs to be reset manually quite a few times daily...and most people aren't up at 5AM to do the reset - thats why its down in the early AM. This site gets a LOT of traffic, and the current hosting package isn't cutting it. The next 'package' costs a LOT more $$$....and more $ is needed to pay for it.

Hey, after the complaints about the website's inaccessibility we had two entire days of no problems - at least for me. 2 whole days!

Yesterday I tried from 8:30 until 5:30 and couldn't get on once.

Today it took until now 1 PM to get on, though a brief attempt that went through at 10 AM swallowed my PM which has happened several times.

In fact a couple of months ago I made a new post regarding this problem and it disappeared after a day...

Anyone know of alternative blogs for Philly? I know this is a volunteer effort but if we even had a notice that indeed the site would be down for maintenance - or even that it was too busy to handle everyone, we would know what was going on. As it is it's becoming seriously frustrating because the sharing of information here, and possibly elsewhere, is important.

The mods have made random comments within various threads about what's happening, but it would be nice to have a proper announcement made.

TheAdlerian made a forum. I know it got off to an ultra-porny start, but maybe it's calmed down by now? You could always check it out and see if you like it. I can't remember the name of it, but it had Freedom in the title.

Odd. I was on and off all day yesterday, so I know it was up. I know there have been load time issues, so I'm not questioning ... just relating my own anecdote.

Well it is odd. I tried repeatedly all day. Is it possible that there's only room for so many people at a time?
