We had an automated phone message a while back that was saying something about single-stream recycling (I think), but when I checked the recycling website, it didn't mention it - so I wasn't sure if we actually had it or not. However, according to the document linked above (and the fact that I've noticed them picking up cardboard with the other recyclables lately) it seems that Fairmount does, in fact, have single-stream recycling now. I sort of wish it was every week. This seems to be good progress, though. __Jason

Sneaky single stream!!
This is great, I'm glad I logged on. I've seen some plastic in people's recycling lately and thought, hmmmm??? Am I missing something? This is cool news. Thank you.

Any box or can or paper bag will do, as long as it's obviously recycling. |

One note -- please take the caps off your plastic 1 & 2 bottles, and dispose of them in your regular garbage. They don't get recycled.
It's wonderful to see how many people are participating in the neighborhood! |
