Default missing cat - FOUND!

Our cat Clive got out in the 2700 block of Poplar Street last night (6/11). He's a strikingly big cat, but lean. Clive is a neutered male. Please call me if you see him: 267-902-9423.

He may be curious but skittish. If you see him, please do not try to chase him as he doesn't like being petted or held; just call. He's sandy colored with faint tabby markings on his body. Black tipped tail, small black ear tufts, and black rings around his front legs.

Clive is still missing. I wonder if I might ask folks who live within 2 or 3 blocks of 27th and Poplar to check their porches and yards for him? Ask your neighbors as well. He's a big & lean light brown tabby with small black ear tufts and a black-tipped tail.

Also, does anyone know of places besides the North Star back lot where stray cats tend to hang out? Maybe he'll end up with a feral colony.

Thanks,
Christian

I'll keep an eye out in my backyard area (b/t Poplar & Ogden). Cats like to hang out there because they can move between backyards without going on to the street. Have you tried all the usual of putting out food, calling, sitting outside, etc.?

Thanks, BeckyJ. I haven't posted flyers around there yet. I hope he made it into the backyards of one of the neighboring blocks and that someone will eventually see him there. I wish I could search every block myself, but how do you talk your way into people's backyards without seeming slightly deranged?

Please tell your neighbors about him. I'll have some flyers up there later today.

He sure looked like one I saw yesterday on the south side of 29th and Girard, shortly after walking past one of your fliers farther south...

We'll come and check around there tonight. I noticed a lot of cats hanging out on the 2900 block of Cambridge, so maybe he ended up there. He's quite social with other cats. It would be awesome if those of you who live around there could keep your eyes open for a large & lean light brown cat with faint stripes, a white chin and a black-tipped tail.

Update

Someone saw Clive in the 800 block Bambrey, between 25th and 26th south of Poplar, on Friday afternoon.

It would be really helpful if folks on 26th, Bambrey, Stillman and so on could check their backyards and alleys to see if he's there. Again, he's a very large and striking looking sandy tabby with a black-tipped tail.

Please call 267-902-9423 day or night if you see him. I still hope we'll be able to get him back.

Thanks so much for your help everyone.

Christian

We got a second tip from 25th and Poplar today. The sighting was two days ago, but he may be in that vicinity. Please keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks,
Christian

Sunday update

People called us with a couple of possible sightings at 26th & Parish and at Taney & Poplar early this morning. One person sounded confident about Clive's ear tufts and large size. As the picture shows, he is a bit longer than most cats and his rear end is a bit higher than his front end.

We'll distribute some more flyers today. Please call if you see him!

Thank you,
Christian
