Default North Star Questions

Hey,

I've never been to north star, nor am I familiar with the area at all. Is there anywhere I can park if I get there around 8:00 pm or so? Lots, street, etc?

Thanks!

Well, there are plenty of streets...but good luck finding a spot close unless you're lucky. Don't believe there are any lots considering it's a corner bar.

I'd say, be ready to drive around the blocks a couple times until you find a spot...

There is a small lot in the back, and parking on nearby streets isn't bad at all.

The small lot in the back gets packed by 8. Parking isn't bad on the close streets? That's just crazy...I always have to circle a couple blocks atleast 2 or 3 times before I can find a spot that my car will fit into.

Maybe I'm the only one...I don't know

Most concert goers seem to park on Girard Avenue and North 27th Street (above Girard Avenue). You should have no problems parking on either street, however, do not leave anything visible in the car. I would NOT recommend you park on the block of Taney Street between Poplar Street and Girard Avenue. Except for a few houses at the south end, it's an empty street and many cars that park there get broken in to. The North Star Bar does have a parking lot, but it will probably be full by the time you arrive.

Good luck and have fun!

Default Mass Transit!

The 15, 32, 7, and 48 all go right by the bar (the 15 is a block away), or take a cab if you are going to drink! Walking is always an option too!

I walk, so I've never had that exact problem, but on week nights I pass plenty of street spaces and the lot can be empty if it is a crappy band night. There is also the grassy lot at 27th and Cambridge.
