Default Towing from Wilkie Building

Word to the wise - they must be doing some work in the old Wilkie Subara building, because they've started enforcing the no parking zones again. I got a lovely $178 tow charge plus a $41 ticket for blocking their gate

I can commiserate. You see cars parked in front of an unused (and what looks like abandoned) gate for MONTHS and then they decide to tow you when you park in the same spot for a single day.

What a scam these tow companies are.

On the plus side, maybe it won't be an unused and abandoned (looking) building for much longer. Several years ago they had plans to build apartments or condos there.

The plans are in the lobby of the 640 lofts building. I was told construction was to begin this spring buit I'm sure the housing market is partially to blame for the delay. The drawings look great.
