Default Any Brewerytown Square Residents?

Hi all,

I'm very new to these forums, so my superficial search for this topic didn't turn up any recent posts.

I went to Westrum's Brewerytown Square development on Sunday and really liked it. I liked how it was relatively inexpensive (up for debate by some maybe), customizable, and has good use of space (1200 sq feet feels like more to me).

One thing that immediately concerns me is the railroad tracks nearby with the freight trains running at 12am and 4am. To any residents in the development now, just how loud are the screeching freight train wheels when they pass by? The units I am interested are in the middle of the square, and are the lower level units - floors 1 and 2.

Thanks everyone!

The train goes by only 7-9 times a day and only once in the middle of the night. I don't even notice them anymore and in Center Square you probably will not hear them after living there for a week.

In addition, CSX just received $2 million to staighten the tracks which will result in 40% less trains and considerably less squeeling. We have a "train commmittee" that has been working to establish the area as a "quiet" zone so no horn blowing.

It is a nice community and the prices being offered right now are a great deal. I am thinking of buying a couple more units to use as rentals until the market comes back.

I do warn you though, this blog is NOT a good place for accurate infomation. Most information is good but there is a lot of bad info on here. Stop by BTS after work someday and meet the neighbors (most of us are more than happy to give an honest account) and you will get a true feel.
