Default Swim Club

Hi, does anyone know of any swim clubs in the city other than Lombard Swim? Lombard has a 6 year waiting list. Maybe there are some hotels that allow you to pay a fee?
I have been looking but I am coming up empty! Thanks!

There was a time when many Fairmount families swam at the Park Towne Apartment Complex. Not sure if they still offer memberships.

I know that the kennedy house lets outside people join their pool. Officially you have to be reomended by a member, but I think they will relax that requirement if they have low memmbership.

The Presidential out on City Line Ave. - we had a membership on year. Nice, big pool, pleasant location, not too far of a drive from the neighborhood. They had some issues with the cleanliness of the water; hopefully by now they've figured them out.

I agree with the recommendation for University City. Locker rooms suck but the pool area is clean, safe and well-run. Open late at night, and the place is actually very pretty when the sun goes down (not that its bad looking during the day). We were seasonal members there for 2 years and really enjoyed it. It might be a bit late to sign up, though.

Default Fitness Works Philadelphia

Hi,
if it's not too far, you may want to check out Fitness Works Philadelphia (www.fitnessworksphiladelphia.com) in South Philly.
They have a nice indoor pool as part of a big health club with reasonable rates.

The pool in the francisville playground is the best kept secret in the neighborhood.
