No, I don't think he's that much of a nutcase; he just seems to have some sort of weird entitlement syndrome, and becomes very frustrated when developments, out of his control, happen in the neighborhood. The thousands of dollars he has spent fighting losing battles, could have financed facade improvements on Girard Avenue, legitimate training courses for the underemployed, new business ventures, etc. I will go so far as to say it's in his interest to keep the community down and out. It's the only chance he has of looking like a success and local hero. Unfortunately for him, his fan base is probably a miniscule group of ne'er do wells, miscontents, malcontents, and resentful hangers-on from another era. What a LOSER!

Maybe he should go talk to the young people who are shooting each other in the neighborhood? If that continues, there won't be any Brewerytown residents left to "adovcate" for!!!

Don't you live in BTS? What's going on with his Songhai City adventure? Anything constructive? I thought he was going to put in a computer lab, training courses, link up with countries in Africa, etc.

This is the sad thing: I went to the "grand opening" a few weeks ago and all the new employees were having their pictures taken in their uniforms in front of the store. A bunch of happy, giggling, teenage girls, excited about their summer jobs. Every single one was black. So, why does this guy want to take this from them? Not to mention, tarnishing the reputation of the whole establishment that hired them. How is this making THEM feel? I just don't see the positives to anything he's doing.
