Agree completely (but didn't get food poisoning). Haven't given it multiple chances hoping to like it. Service has been horrendous every time. Food has been from lousy to mediocre. Beer prices are ok and tvs are good. But you can get that in plenty of places with good service and decent food.

I'm a big fan of dives and dumps. But this place is a dump, trying not to be a dive and charging more than they should. So much wasted space and potential. Make it a freakin sports bar for crying out loud. Stop trying to be a gastro-pub with tvs. Spend $20 and hand up a dart board like the owners said they were going to at Christmas, along with the pool tables they said they were getting. Maybe some foosball or pinball. Make it a fun place to hang out with decent bar food.

Green room is a much better cheap bar with comparable food and they have darts and a pool table, so I go there instead.

Was me deleting my old posts since I didn't want to trash the establishment anymore. It seemed like dragging the place through the mud to continue a battle with some troll was not right.

You're borderline psychotic with your vendetta against the place - they should get a restraining order against you to keep you out. Have you tried picketing the place? This went from a thread about serving omlettes all day to your personal forum for expressing shrill anger at "uppity people" who "look down their nose at you". I think that, having struck that blow for your kind you'd move on to some new crusade. Congrats!

You proved to everyone that serving eggs all day at a sports bar is an awesome idea. Despite the place being empty during that timeframe, you proved that it is still a profitable practice. And that a gastro-pub that does not emphasize food always does great. So what more do you need to say? I am fully on board now, your arguments have swayed me. So there is no need for the thread, I came to that conclusion yesterday.

If you challenge me, I'm gonna post again - so don't whine when I respond to you. You can't have it both ways. As boring as it is I will always respond to something like that.

Read my posts - it is backed up. And it was about one aspect of the business. Here it is, again, since you may not have read through all the posts (yet chose to fire off at the last few).

Sports bar that does not serve bar food during a Saturday afternoon. Is that a problem? IMO Yes. Why? Because people want bar food at 2pm at a sports bar. I asked if people agree with me, they do by a wide margin.

The place is routinely empty for that stretch - is that a problem? IMO Yes. Why? Because if you open you have to staff it, cool / heat it, stock the place, turn the lights on. You incur an expense and take in only about 10% of the revenue you could have. Will the place go under? Not necessarily, but there is WAY more cash to be made.

Is that smart business? IMO No. Why? Because the object is to maximize profit in business.

Concept goes from sports bar to gastro pub, yet the food quality declines and evening dining is non-existent. is that a problem? IMO Yes. Why? Because food is perishable, kitchens are expensive to operate and staff, and half the floor space is dedicated to dining.

This was never about overall quality. This was never about 'wanting' it to fail. The original post says the exact opposite. If you saw 20 restaurants fail for the same 3 reasons, then wouldn't you want to comment on it? In hopes that it would change? Because that was the intent of the thread.

This was about the mistake of serving bruch all day long on Saturday based on an experience I had there were about 12 people (of the 15 in the bar) walked out after being handed brunch menus.

If you want to argue the point, then argue it. But don't snipe and about nonsense.

Make a point, defend it, or move on. Let this thread die, or continue with it. But if you want to argue, I will be happy to do so.

99% of the posts were not aimed at you, although you may mistakenly think that they are. I realized it was getting ridiculous and edited them out. I was under the impression that that was the mature thing to do.

If you mean my insult to UK and Scotland dining scene I did take that one back, having based that example on a few episoded of Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares". So, you got a mea culpa on that. That may have been deleted along with the others.

Maybe that is why I am confused as to why you keep coming at me on this topic, which I think is totally played out.
