Your right in that you shouldn't be comparing Philadelphia to Scotland, but your comment is completely ignorant. People in the UK simply have different tastes and garbage does not stay around, let me tell you.

Urban Saloon isn't for me, but it will do fine for the 21-25 crowd on a weekend, or the odd casual drinker during the week. The food and table service is terrible though, and eventually that will take it's tole and have to change.

This place sounds absolutely awful. Thanks for the heads up.

Default We Get It

Ok HP46, message received. We get it. You don't like the Urban Saloon. I think it kinda sucks too. But you've got what, 10 posts that repeatedly state your disdain for the food and the menu there, among other things. We understand. You're coming across like a little kid who doesn't think anyone is listening to you . Stop whining and kicking and screaming when somebody has the gall to say they like the place. Your posts are way beyond constructive criticism, they're more along the rants of a wanna-be food critic You don't like the place, don't go. You don't like the place, post about it once or twice. But to keep posting about it over and over again (and bumping your own thread) is just stupid. The menu is posted outside so I for one am not shocked at the "madness" when I go in.

I LOVE the burger at Urban Saloon. It's so tasty and it's always prepared exactly to my high standards. It's fresh, juicy, and the toppings are awesome. I've never had a bad meal there, now that I think about it. The fries are nice and crisp. I urge everyone to give it a try and I will tell all my friends about the place.

HP your such a pompous a**. "I demand more" "Isn't anyone listening to my needs?!" "This is ridiculous!!" [LOUD ANNOYED SIGHS] "Why, I never!!". Do you throw your napkin down in disgust before leaving a shitty tip and storming out? What a douche. You don't like Aspen, Brigids, London, or Urban Saloon? Hahaha, what a baby. And that's perfect, those are my favorite places and I hate seeing uppity pricks like you in there looking down their noses on those of us with "low standards". Talk about elitist, you sir are clueless.

Question Proprietors?

Where is the "well, I talked to the owners..." post?

Usually someone will chime in on these threads defending the owners/proprietors...
But only this one.

From the referenced site... [co-owner] "has developed the tools necessary to successful operate and promote the highest volume establishments in the city."

I don’t think that the proprietors of other FM establishments would pride themselves with a statement like that.

There was a Jack's bashing thread a few weeks ago and the recent Bridgid’s thread… and while the info is always hearsay, sometimes the owners' perspective is posted, or experiences/interactions with owners are recalled.

Is anyone friends/acquaintances with Kelly or Chad? Are they even the owners? Or just promoters?

Chad and Kellyanne are the owners.

went there when it opened. the burgers were good. went back twice since and the burgers were raw (not rare) when ordered medium-well, both times. my friend ordered the roast beef and it was raw and ice cold. this was after waiting one hour.
bummer. did they change cooks?!!

Default Again, come to my neighborhood

Yeah, time for the thread to be closed. I hope the owners get everything back on track - because it was actually a very nice place to visit when it first opened, and it was very accomodating of kids even in the early dinner hour.

Default And this thread is played

My initial post stated that I liked what they were doing, and was happy that the space had been so nicely done. So it was not my intention to pile on and trash the place for the quality of the food, which is always going to be tertiary at a sports bar. Going down that road was not nice, or relevant to the point of the thread. Although I did get baited into that (passive-aggressive, shrill Fox News viewers with low self esteem always bring out the worst).

The majority agree with me that serving omlettes on a gameday Saturday is not a great combo with 12 lagers.

Poll taken, question answered, mission accomplished.
