Thumbs down

i have the biggest HATE for urban saloon, i cannot put it into words (but i did once in a yelp.com review) i don't have the energy to express it to you guys again. all i can say is i walk past it everyday, wishing i could put a huge sign on the place that says DO NOT ENTER. WORST FOOD. WORST SERVICE. WORST EVERYTHING. EVER. and dont yell at me for saying that cos i've given this place FOUR CHANCES... all that were horrible, and i should have requested to see the manager all four times. i had the shrimp shumai which gave me food poisoning

edit. censor? :/

Haha, that made me laugh. I still like the place, but I really don't understand what is up with the music. Maybe the owners are really into bad 80's music for some reason.

Maybe, but I bet the 20-something Law students who frequent the place think 80s music is kitschy fun.

The place serves a purpose in the neighborhood and I don't mind it, I just wish they'd install that mechanical bull...

I was willing to give the OP the benefit of the doubt until I read they ordered shrimp shumai at the Urban Saloon. That place is where you get a burger and a beer and watch Jaun Samuel steal second.

i also got a burger one day which was terrible.. the fries there are fried in oil which is SO OLD.. they taste like fish YUCK. also got the lasagna one night, tasted like vomit, and i'm not exaggerating, that is the closest taste i could describe it to.

so NOTHING in this place is good.

not to mention when i got a drink, the soda was flat as hell and watered down.

I hate those nasty burgers on that soggy toast. I went about 5 times, and finally gave up on the food. Then decided I was going to try it as a bar, but the service was so bad I gave up on that too.

I don't know, they just don't have a strong "thing" ya know? It's urban saloon, play country music, serve cowboy beans, and for gods sake yes, get a mechanical bull.

Default Owner dj'd at a strip club

Which explains the music Has anyone actually asked for the owners and told them in person what you think? Just seems like the right thing to do rather than continue to complain on the blog.

ugh that place is the WORST. i'm part of a, lets say, 'group' in fairmount, who likes to support and frequent local places... but we went there once, and it was total crap. bad music, cheesy and sleazy people... no thanks. i'd rather chill next door at jack's- where, by the way, they play phenomenal music.
