Is FAB doing anything to help with the zoning? Fairmount should really be a better commerical strip than it is.

I'm glad Bread found an alternate location, but I have to say I'm disappointed. I agree Fairmount Ave. is not living up to its potential & a bakery right on the main drag would have been a big boost. *Sigh*

The good news is, though, Neil, that bread* seems to still be planning on opening on Fairmount at some point in time:
"Due to zoning hangups, we are no longer opening at the original spot on Fairmount Ave right away." That was from the earlier thread about the bakery. I take the "right away" part to mean that they still intend to open there at some time. I know the original post also stated that they had contractors working on the Fairmount Ave. location, so presumably they won't want the work they've done to go to waste. Time (or another post by Vicki of bread*) will tell. |

Why isn't the coffee shop opening on Girard? The owner fought pretty hard to make it happen.

Anyone know what happened here? Did they give up, hit too much opposition, or just run out of money?
