Yea, Starr couldn't find a monestary for Buddakan and that's been a total failure.

Maybe they are going for more of an Urban vibe with this one and leaving the colonial stuff for the original location???

Their Chocolate Thunder is my favorite.
The Sunset Red Ale rocks. In the fall, their Holiday Cheer beer is also fantastic. I pray and hope that the Lafayette comes to Fairmount-even if it is a weird location. If it does, I don't have to drive to Lafayette Hill to fill my growler!

Is Goji actually leaving or is this new restaurant just being added to the complex?

Will we be able to fill our growlers there????

That would great (assuming there isn't some law preventing them from filling growlers in the city)

The cook they had for years left and went to Rembrandts, actually they lost most of their kitchen staff to other places, he old cook is doing a good job at Rembrandts. They also lost their general manager, so that could explain the service. I still like to go there though as I find most of the bar tenders to be a good group.

Goji's website is dead, so I assume they are as well. I haven't been by there in a while, though. I had high hopes for Goji when it first opened (a Japanese restaurant that *actually* served Japanese food... what a novel concept!) Sadly, they couldn't pull in customers. When it changed hands, it seemed to suffer from an identity crisis, which certainly didn't help things.

Hopefully the new occupants have better luck making it work in that location.
