The Inquirer reports:

" Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Brewerytown man yesterday afternoon. Travis Ellerbe, 26, was shot in the back and in a leg about 12:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Myrtlewood Street, a few blocks from his home, Homicide Sgt. Robert Wilkins said.
Ellerbe was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead."

The territories aren't old. There have been problems there for quite some time. It quiets down once in awhile, sometimes goes indoors, but the problems are there.
I was just out there last week and noticed the drug gang tags popping up.

Default Thompson St

I frequently walk past that corner to the 48 bus from B-Square. When it is a warm day/night there is all sorts of activity out there. I was even approached by a "professional girl" while waiting for the bus once! There has been a house for rent between Myrtlewood and Hollywood for much of the last year, but who wants to look out their window to 6 vacants with tags and memorials on them.

Default Unrelated official activity?

There were lots of flashing lights at 31st and Stiles last night around 10:30-12:00. I saw ambulances and fire trucks. Anyone know what happened?
