I still say that looks like fun.

Unfortunatly they welded an ugly cable on so you can no longer do that.

I actually like having the sculpture there. It may not be an incredibly brilliant realization of something or other....it's just someone's idea of art, and not everyone has to like it. But I do think it fits in that space very well. It's big, and it makes Philadelphia seem a little cooler, if you ask me, for having some interesting large outdoor art.

And I'm fairly certain that video was shot during last Fall's "College Day." I walked by and there were 40 or so people gathered around and lots of (mostly) guys grabbing it when it swung down, and riding up. Looked *very* unsafe, but also fun!

Damn I missed that, it does look like fun and insanity. I'm sure the artist would've thought it was fun too. God knows it doesn't swing any other time, I swear it was placed incorrectly.

Were it placed incorrectly, it was done with the full participation of the sculptor for he was there for the installation.

I love it. Its perfect for the place. And as all good art , it provokes controversy.
