Don't get me started on the sales clerks at CVS......errrrrrr. But the pharmacy staff there is always very friendly and helpful. They'll ring your stuff up at the pharmacy counter even if you didn't get any meds, so you can just bypass the rude clerks and go there.

I was just in CVS on Friday for Soft Soap and saw that too. Outrage followed. And I did not have the rest of the day to wait for the cashiers to come back with the keys. I went to Klein's, where I was able to purchase the $2.89 soap (BRAND NAME at a cheaper price) without the prison mindset.
I also go to the drug store in the Philadelphian for Prilosec OTC, since to get that at CVS requires two staffers using their nuke codes and turning their launch keys simultaneously. Oh, and do not get me started on obtaining the razor blade cartriges. Someone ought to start a website where you can buy all of these items online, would save SO much time. Rite Aid also rocks - reeked of pot yesterday but that place runs great. |

What gets me is that condoms are locked up in a lot of places.
Common, its' birth control. I'm for giving them out free to people if they are using them. Ordering no longer bothers me. Thursday night I was at a CVS and wifie was down the aisle and I'm yelling "DO you want to try ribbed or studded" Then asking the yelling to the pharmacist, who is further, away; "Do you have anything larger than Magnums?" When I was in college I was embarrassed to buy them. You know. I'll have a six pack of bud, beef jerky, <cough> condoms <cough> and a liter of coke. I mean I would sometimes wait for a male clerk. Now I'm walking down the CVS isle; "I'm buying condoms!". "Hey honey they only have a 36 pack, should I get two packs since valentines day is coming up?". "Hi guy, what you buying? A playboy and some klenex? I'm buying condoms." (meanwhile my wife has left the store and I'm yelling at her; "Don't be impatient, I'll be ready 30 seconds after we get back to the car!" I'm such an ass I'm sorry, was that more info then you needed?

I don't know the legality of this, but CVS has signs up saying that you can only buy Phone cards with cash or debit--no credit.
They used to have the same sign for cigarettes but I see now that it's gone. I would think that they would have to accept all 3 tenders on all merchandise except money orders (which would have to be debit or cash). I don't think they can pick and choose which tender people can or should use. I often buy phone cards to send to my nephew who is in the military. But not at CVS. I rarely carry cash with me. I charge everything, and pay my bill every month. This is how I gain airline miles. |
