Default Columbia Bridge on Kelly Drive

The Columbia Bridge located just below the rowing grandstand along the Schuylkill needs some attention. Its Deteriorating badly and needs at the very least scraping, patching and paint.

I noticed that LaSalle and Temple had two cheesy logos spray painted on the bridges North face. Would it be too much to ask of the city universities to pitch in to get the bridge refurbished, let them each put their logos across the 6 spans of the bridge. Penn,Drexel,Temple,St Joe,Lasalle,Villanova. How much can it cost to paint a bridge? Its a national hotspot for rowing , you would think the universities would put some pride in this area and get it spruced up. I'm sure the city isn't going to spend a dime on that bridge until it starts collapsing.

Not that much, but it's not their bridge-

It's kinda like wanting to re-paint your neighbors fence
it's not hard to do, but it's not your property

Eh, probably not, because I think the Columbia Railroad bridge belonds to the railroad that runs across the bridge - that would be CSX. As you see with CSX and Schuylkill River Park, the city and the Railroad company aren't talking right now, they're sueing each other instead...

There are some bridges that I think, belong to the city- most likely the Falls and Strawberry Mansion Bridges- I'd guess the decorative lighting on the Strawberry Mansion bridge is because its city owned.
