This thread is exactly why PB is such an idiotic, narrow minded cyber place. The PC PB police are constantly on the prowl to crush dissent...even if it means taking a thread completely off target. I foolishly pop back in every year or so, only to be quickly disgusted by the circle jerk that is pb.

New owners are definitely bartenders from Bishops Collar. My friend dates one of the guys involved - a guy from Canada. No idea when they are planning on opening. Anyone know?

hey everybody......

i just wanted to chime in to straighten some things out. i know all parties involved. the idea that there was anger and animosity from the bishops bartenders towards the bishops owner is nonsense. both of the bartenders who are involved with savanahs are long time employees who have been looking for their own place to own for some time now. has nothing to do with them being upset or angry with the owner.

this is just a classic case of two long time employees finally finding the right opportunity to branch out on their own.

the people who work together at bishops are like family with each other....very close knit. always have been - always will be.

I can't figure that place out. Is it possible it's really a front for something else? It doesn't seem likely since it's in such a noticeable location.

I know one of the bartenders who is opening Kite and Key. He is a great guy and has been waiting to open his own place for a while.

I wish him very well.

He is from Canada, but I have never held that against him that he knows about, and would never openly ridicule him for that within his earshot, as he is bigger than me.

But really a fine Canadian.
