Default any parks with pullup bar? or any good stairs to run up (besides the art museum)?

i was wondering if there are any parks in the area (or other nearby areas) that have pullup bars. my building doesn't have a gym and i'm just gonna do pushups, pullups, and run for fitness.

also, are there any good stairs around the area for running (besides the ROCKY ones)?

thanks a lot.

Along West River/MLK Drive, there used to be some fitness areas. Like you'd walk or run along and then one would be there (in other words, they weren't all together). Seems like there might have been a pull-up bar.

Of all of the fitness areas on WRD, I've only seen the pull-up bar being used. In other parks, there's usually some indication and signage that there's a fitness path, but not here.

You could always use the bars on SEPTA.

You might want to try a full Isometric workout plan. You can use your own body to provide resistance at times or common household items such as chairs.

Here are some links:

Head towards Manayunk, there are plenty...

Start at the end of the Wissahickon trail at Ridge/Wissahickon Creek
where Ridge Avenue & Main Street Converge, also known as Wissahickon Transfer.

It's near Tommy Guns BBQ head upstream along the trail to

(1) the 100 steps
turn left over to Wissahickon Station, down stairs and under train tracks, though underpass out to

(2) Wissahickon Station Steps
go to base, turn right continue to CVS turn right again up stairs at

(3) Dawson Steps go up, over train tracks, turn left on Cresson, head along the train tracks, past Shurs, right on Jamestown then go up

(4) Jamestown Steps
turn left on Terrace, then left at Roxborough Ave down

(5) Roxborough Ave Steps
then right on Tower then right again to go up

(6) Cotton Street Steps
then left on Terrace Again, then left on Grape Street to go down

(7) Grape Street steps

then continue out Tower to Levering/Lyceum, and walk up "The Wall" from the bike race.

Near Lyceum and Roxborough you can catch the Route 27 back down to Wissahickon Station, or you can walk south on Roxborough Ave.
