I'm confused where you are starting from... here? NYC? someone on LI?

I'd like to throw out Long Beach as an option. It has a nice long boardwalk, relatively uncrowded beach and the train station is like 4-5 blocks from the ocean. When you mentioned OC, it sprang to mind.

Our starting point is Philadelphia. Long Beach sounds interesting. Four or five blocks from the beach is ideal. Thanks!
