Default No M&M's?!?!?

Well, then that is BS. You gotta provide some kind of service if you are asking for $.

This all started a few years ago, people begging on the street for donations. When I was playing little league we had bake sales. We had night at the races. Now, every Saturday the roads are clogged with volunteer fireman carrying the boot around. That is begging, and it sets a bad example for the kids. Give me something for nothing. It's shameful.

Has anyone ever seen the kids in front of dockside on Columbus Blvd? They sell water all day long in the summer, while a homeless adult begs right next to them. Unreal.

So, I withdraw my prior comment. Yes, I blame this on volunteer firemen. Of course, I will be re-registering as a Republican (ironically, my bike was stolen about 3 minutes after I voted for Kerry...I hope whoever did that has to answer to Dick Cheney one day).

I wouldn't call risking your life on an almost daily basis to protect total strangers lives and property "nothing".

Default The fireman begging

It is precisley that. I was not saying that the jobs they do were "nothing", although the locals who refuse to pay taxes to support their own fire department could be accused of making that claim. Apparently it is just not worth that much to them.
