I hear and can see a group of protesters outside of London Grill. What are they protesting?

Default Protest

They are animal activists protesting London Grill because they have Foie Gras on their menu. I live one block away and I am ready to call the cops, because of the noise pollution intruding in thru my windows.

Oh, the same group was there last week doing the same thing. They were yelling some chant through a bullhorn, and were standing literally 10 feet from the diners eating at the outdoor tables. I guess they assume that by causing the most annoying ruckus possible, the owner will cave and remove the offending dish from the menu. But I doubt they're winning themselves any friends among the actual diners in the process... or the neighbors, for that matter!

They should have to try it with a nice prune and wine reduction, before complaining.

I'm guessing that most of them either live with their parents or are unemployed.

i was one of the diners out there last weekend. They were so rude to me. When I asked them to kindly stand a few feet away from my table of 8 (my 80 yr old grandmother was there with us visting with her daughters and grandaughters) - they called me the worst names I have heard since grade school. Nice. My favorite fat joke of the evening - get on a treadmill. Nice. We stayed on - I respect their right to protest fois gras but they didn't respect my right to share some wine with my cousins, our grandmother, and my mom and aunt on a nice summer night. The leader actually compared himself to MLK. I find that insane and insulting.

Oh BTW the protest group I believe is named Hugs For Puppies I think because Armed Front For The Liberation of Our Non-Human Bretheren apparently turned too many people off.

Word on the street is that the owners of London Grill had to rough up a few cows in order to make their burgers. Those jerks over at Rembrandt's might have been in on it, too. Can someone get that memo over to the folks on city council?

Soon, we can add "officially pro-duck" to the other dubious distinctions ("officially pro-choice," "officially against trans-fat") that Philadelphia has claimed as its own.
