That means that you really have to have at least one more bbq & movie night so that those of us who missed the last one can get in one this summer!
We've got quite a few friends in the Chicago area and more are moving there this summer....so if we happen by, I'll let you know. |

The people at Welker sort of specialize in Fairmount (their office is at 23rd & Fairmount). Jacqui was my buyer's agent when I bought my place (I originally wanted to buy in Brewerytown).
Or you could go with this guy... http://www.supersonicsoul.com/2007/0...ior-sabey.html ![]() Quote:

So I have interviewed two real estate agents so far.
What is interesting is that they have complete opposite views on some points on how to sell the house. My target date to be gone is June 1, but I could leave as early as April 1. Realtor 1: List as soon as possible, January 1 maybe even late December. Reasoning: The more people who see it the better. People have different schedules for buying and this would hit as many as possible.Realtor 2: List when the real estate market gets hot. March 1. Reasoning: You get the most serious buyers in the first week it's open. Then it starts dropping off. Even if you lower the price in the future, they are unlikely to come back. If they wanted it at that price they would have made an offer.Security, the house has some rather interesting features, including wireless cameras and special unbreakable glass on the first floor Realtor 1: Nice feature. It should be mentioned to show potential buyer the security of the home Realtor 2: Take down the cameras, just say that it has and ADT system. It's like bars on the windows. Yes, it's more secure, but then people will wonder exactly why the homeowner thought they were nessisary. Comparisons Realtor 1: Compared to all sales with homes with parking Realtor 2: Compared to all new construction I intend to meet with 5 different agents before I pick one. I just found it fascinating that I met with two that had some opposite ideas. www.849n28th.com

definitely a shameless plug.
But since we are talking about a specific property I feel it is germain within the discussion. For example, I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about the home security and referencing the url detailing the security http://www.849n28th.com/security.htm . It's really no different than the discussions about the Apple IPhone referencing apple at http://www.apple.com/iphone/ I see the line at posting the www.849noth28th.com URL within a discussion about the home OK. I make copious posts and only include the URL when discussing about the home. I think if you look at some people .sigs they reference their own web site or one they are affiliated with.

Linda Holt from the Prudential office in Rittenhouse Square also lives and works in Fairmount. She sold our condo in Logan Square just a couple months ago in only a couple weeks. She is great to deal with.
