Phila. Police Return Fire After Officer Injured

(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA Philadelphia police fired shots in a Brewerytown neighborhood after an officer was injured Friday.

Chopper 3 was over the scene at 29th and Oxford Streets.

Police said an officer's foot was run over by a car there that they had pulled over following a chase. The car sped away and that was when police fired shots.

Police are searching for the vehicle.

There is no word on the officer condition.
not sure whats up here. cbs got it wrong. one of our tenants saw this happen and it was not on 29th and oxford, it was on bailey and oxford right behind our house. she was in the back yard enjoying some vino as this car shot out towards the corner. woke us up, dog freaked out. she said she saw a black sedan drive the wrong way on bailey(south) and shoot about 6-8 shots north towards oxford. we where under the impression that there was a shooting at the corner not associated with the cops. i dont know where they are getting the chase thing. i talked to one of the cops and they had ran this suspicious cars plated earlier, and said nothing about a chase. they also said that they found car on girard and one of the guys ran into the park. i am assuming that it was around brewery-hill drive and girard. they got one guy in custody. we saw someone in a stretcher being put into the ambulance. we assumed that this was the guy that the car was shooting at. we all called the cops and told them what we heard and saw. these people are lucky that i didn't get my gatlin gun in the mail yet. i citizen has to protect himself.
