Default Local painters wanted for Bastille Day

The event organizer for Fairmount’s Bastille Day is looking for local Fairmount artists to provide some French ambience that day. I have no artistic ability but others of you do so I am passing along the information. Here’s an opportunity for you to show off your works to thousands of residents and tourists that day and to promote Fairmount.

Here are the details:

“I am searching for 4-6 artists (painters) who would be interested in selling their paintings and actually painting on site at the event. The event will provide tent, tables, chairs for free. I’m trying to re-create a mini Montmarte (for those of you familiar with Paris, that’s where all the artists hang out and sell their art.) If for some reason you had or could do some paintings of French monuments, Paris street scenes, whatever, we are trying to have some kind of tie to France/French themes/French artists.”

Call Sharon at (215) 763-1200 if interested.

She discussed some of her other ideas that I can’t divulge at this time but they are incredible and will surely make this the best Bastille Day celebration ever. So stick around the neighborhood on Saturday, July 14th.

Viva La France !

Sounds like fun, I'm in!

I need a big area though.
I work in modern art where I spray my naked body with different colors and roll around nude on the canvas.

Doesn't little Tenzo have a beret?

You know that a beret has got to be a requirement for this activity.

Strangely, my wife's work is in more demand than mine.
