My husband and I have lived there with our son since September. (You'll see from my post above that I asked about the building before we moved in.)
It is what it is, as they say. I really like our apartment. The climate control is a bit of an issue, but you adjust - you'll notice most people have window units to supplement the 'air conditioning' in the summer time. In the winter time, you just crack the windows and turn on a fan.
The pros are the location (and proximity to buses!), the single-level living (as opposed to the 2-story apartment we were in before), pet friendly (dogs and cats - we have one of each), 'security' desk, and deli/grocery on the first floor. The building is large enough that you can be as anonymous as you want to be - my parents live on the floor below us, but we don't run into each other unless we plan to.
The cons are that Phila Management doesn't do much in the way of maintenance - the beds in the front of the building aren't well kept, the lobby is fairly shabby, the walls in the hallways are patched. For us, a major con is our upstairs neighbors, who apparently have been building an ark for the last few months. Parking can also be a nuisance, unless you get a permit sticker, especially now that the kids are having ball practice in the field across the street.
