I am so sorry about your experience. I am sure glad I wasn't in the waiting room that day. I stand by our own positive experiences at Girard yet readers should be aware there is another side and make their own decisions. Obviously I have never seen the books on any vet but I would have to wonder how it would play out appointments versus clinic but the clinic charges much less. Sorry again and I don't blame you for not returning.

Ydoidrink,
I am sorry for your horrible experience. Its good to have a forum like this to learn others' experiences. I have taken one of my dogs to UPenn (he always gets injured during non business hours) and they are by far the best. |

Fairmount animal hospital (2315 Fairmount Ave.) sees pets only by appointments and is still very affordable. Fairmount has a very friendly staff. The vet is very nice, has an excellent reputation among peers, and did a residency/fellowship after the doctorate (most vets do not). I usually choose quality over speed even if very slightly more expensive... With an appointment, you waste less time, and the vet has the time to explain what you need to know for your pet. I recommend Fairmount Animal Hospital.
