52nd St./City Branch corridor meeting
The 2nd meeting is tonight at 6; I'll be there & hope I'll see some of you other bloggers too:
SEPTA and the City of Philadelphia are sponsoring a study to determine ways to improve transit between Parkside and Center City to better serve these communities and provide access to the cultural institutions in the Fairmount Park and along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
The corridor is centered on a potential route that includes 52nd Street, Parkside Avenue, Girard Avenue, the City Branch Right-of-way, Franklintown Boulevard, 17th Street, Race Street, 12th Street, Arch Street and 18th Street, and will serve neighborhoods in Parkside, the Art Museum Area, Brewerytown, Fairmount and Chinatown.
Two Study Community Meetings are scheduled for Monday, September 26, 2005, as follows:
Noon to 2 PM, Community College of Philadelphia, Center for Business and Industry, 18th and Callowhill Streets, room c2-5 (2nd Floor).
6 PM to 8 PM, Carousel House, Belmont and North Concourse Drive near Parkside Avenue, entrance on North Concourse Drive, 1st floor auditorium.
