Since we have another thread on upcoming meetings and the need to address crime, I'll say again that the FCA, who have been very active on this for months, will meet next on Thursday September 29 at the Mennonite High School on 24th. I had more to say in this thread:
http://phillyblog.com/philly/showthr...t=10548&page=2 Also, I realize folks are trying to get a Brewerytown Town Watch off the ground, but we do have a very active one in Fairmount that has focused its patrols on the northern and western sections of what are traditionally considered our borders - that includes the areas around 28th, 29th and Poplar where recent activity has taken place. Obviously more patrols and more participants will help us establish a better presence around here. So, that said, all are welcome to get involved and we'd be very interested in coordinating with the Brewerytown Town Watch when it is up and running. Last edited by pkav : 09-05-2005 at 01:53 PM. |

I know, it's disconcerting to see so much of this forum taken up with crime posts. I will make this thread a sticky under the title "Crime and Security Issues" & we'll see if we can consolidate the postings here.
