Default gunshots?

anyone else hear 5 gunshots at about 3:30 am near 27th and girard? i didn't hear sirens after - but it sounded like gunshots - unless the trolleys backfire.

if you thought you heard gunshots, you probably did.

I thought that I heard something that sounded like 5 shots - it woke me up and I waited for sirens but didn't hear any.

i thought about calling 911 - but didn't since i wasn't sure exactly where they came from - should you call 911 if you hear shots?

I heard it as well... But can't verify it was 27th and girard as I was at 26th and brown and heard it quite clearly. No sirens.

most of the time when i hear them up here i dont hear sirens after. im not sure about the 911 thing either. one night we heard about 15 shots coming from somewhere around cecil b and 23rd and no sirens either. most people around here pay it no mind and dont call the police unless it is close to home, meaning on their block and they can see whats going on. i would be concerned with stray bullets. i called the cops once and they started to give me a hard time about whether or not i could see anything or not. it seemed that if someone hadnt been killed or i could see a gun then there was no point in dispatching police to north philly. if it was at brown and 27th, maybe something would have been done about it.

If you hear gunshots call 911.

It seems pretty straight forward. You know a crime is being committed. So why would you not call the cops?

If anyone gave me a hard time about reporting a crime I would be asking for his badge number and calling the precinct captain the next day.

That might be one reason why there is so much crime.
Call it in damnit. YOU are responsible.
If crime happens and no one calls it in, you are aiding the criminals.

Default Shootings last night

Hello everyone,
I'm a new resident in the Art museum area and was just wondering if anyone else heard gunshots last night in the area of 20th and Greene. Woke me up around 2 a.m.

Of course there is crime in Philadelphia. That's what happens when you have a city full of Democrats.
