Default on the topic of broken car windows...

I just browsed the thread, and I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the busted windows on Wallace St. between the 20th and 19th blocks.
About two weeks ago, I was walking to the bus stop one morning and the driver side window of a green Toyota, (or was it a Honda?) was smashed. This was right on the side of the church. And Monday morning, President's Day, a lady's Lexus suv suffered the same blow. She was parked on block between the Spring Garden and the playground.
So, basically you know the drill - take valuables out of your car and be weary of the block between the garden and playground, because there can't exactly be a town watch on a block with no houses.

When I was a kid, we were a mere 4 or 5 blocks from big grass fields.

We played baseball and hockey in the street all the time.

We never did it to hit people. It was just close to our houses and it was easy to meet up there.

i know your post was only half serious, but for the record, I think that in addition to allowing you to escape in the case of an accident, having windows that shatter keeps you from being sliced in half or decapitated by a large window flying through your body.

Default Police Look Into Brewerytown Double Shooting

Quote:
March 19, 2006
- Philadelphia homicide detectives are searching for suspects in a double murder in Brewerytown. It happened in the 12-hundred block of North Dover Street late Saturday night. 38-year-old Johnnie Harmon and 18-year-old Latoya Bostick were sitting in a truck when 2 men opened fire on them. Both victims were shot several times. Both were pronounced dead in the emergency rooms. So far no motive and no suspects have been named in this case.

Default shooting

Does anyone know anything about the shooting on 27th and Parrish? I heard 3 gun shots at 8pm and saw some kids beating up another kid.
