The "Party of One" workshop focuses on the seven (7) essential skills for starting and sustaining a profitable business when it's just you. It is geared for independent business people, including consultants, contractors, coaches, trainers, as well as design, IT and technical professionals.

This event is presented by James Chan, Ph.D., author of

About the speaker, James Chan:
James Chan, Ph.D., shares his 25 years of real-life experience in starting and sustaining a one-person business. His company, Asia Marketing and Management, is a one-person consultancy that advises U.S. companies in doing business in China. He is the author of
Spare Room Tycoon: Succeeding Independently, the 70 Lessons of Sane Self-Employment. The book recounts the stories of how 40 men and women, including Dr. Chan, started their own independent (often one-person) businesses and the lessons that they've learned in making their businesses lasting and profitable. In this workshop, James Chan will focus on the top seven (7) essential skills in starting and running a successful independent business.
