Through the 2004 WALKPHILADELPHIA Winter Lecture Series

Philadelphia Architecture is a comprehensive, 12-week
lecture series that surveys the history of Philadelphia
from its founding to the present. The series begins with
a three-part introduction to Western architecture,
providing a basic understanding of and appreciation
for the built environment. Subsequent lectures by
distinguished scholars and design professionals focus
on Philadelphia’s architecture, urban planning
and social history, as well as its most notable architects.
The lecture series is designed for and open to the
general public. Attendance at the series is a prerequisite
for becoming a certified “Walk Philadelphia” volunteer
tour guide.

The Philadelphia Architecture lecture series
is sponsored by “Walk Philadelphia,” the guided
architecture tour program of the Center City District.

When:
Wednesday evenings January 14 to March 31, 6 pm-8 pm

Where:
Independence Blue Cross Bldg., 1901 Market St.,
Sky Lobby Conference Center, 23rd floor
