I'm moving from Boston this summer. Right now I pay $1.25 a square foot for studio space.
Should I: rent a two bedroom apartment and use one of the rooms as a studio space? OR rent a smaller apartment and find studio space elsewhere? Which would be more cost efficient? I'm also wondering if anyone has an opinion on having a studio space in your home. Is the separation between living and working necessary? Or will it be beneficial to integrate the two? And the other obvious question is: where I should look for large-ish spaces for artists? I work in a variety of media, but I don't need fire proof walls or a concrete floor. I'd like at least 300 sq ft. Thanks in advance! |
