A little info for anyone out there considering seeing "Baby Mama", the Tina Fey & Amy Pohler movie. The opening establishing shot of the Philadelphia skyline came as a big surprise since I didn't see this highlighted in any of the pre-release publicity. I checked imdb and found that the movie was almost entirely filmed in NYC (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0871426/locations). This is forgivable since I assume both stars have extremely busy schedules in NYC.
For anyone who has seen the film, how do you think they did replicating the look of Philly in Brooklyn and Queens? The film does have a few knowing lines that ring true such as the scene where Fey is looking for an hip, up-and-coming neighborhood and asks a local merchart the name and he replies something along the lines of "South West Below Catherine or SO-WE-BE-CAT".
