Default Baby Mama

A little info for anyone out there considering seeing "Baby Mama", the Tina Fey & Amy Pohler movie. The opening establishing shot of the Philadelphia skyline came as a big surprise since I didn't see this highlighted in any of the pre-release publicity. I checked imdb and found that the movie was almost entirely filmed in NYC (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0871426/locations). This is forgivable since I assume both stars have extremely busy schedules in NYC.

For anyone who has seen the film, how do you think they did replicating the look of Philly in Brooklyn and Queens? The film does have a few knowing lines that ring true such as the scene where Fey is looking for an hip, up-and-coming neighborhood and asks a local merchart the name and he replies something along the lines of "South West Below Catherine or SO-WE-BE-CAT".

they sure fooled my wife and I because some of the shots looked exactly like ones from sixth sense, amongst others. They had to do some key shooting in philadelphia.

It was a good movie, but I would of been just as happy waiting for it on video...some funny moments, but overall they are covered during the previews.

The one hilarious subnote through the movie is how people are trying to rename a neighborhood something like wecosomo or something because its between webster and catharine. I'm not giving anything away-its just something funny to look out for.
