Is the top of the Comcast Tower ever going to be lit up? Are they waiting for the grand opening or something?

Yes the plan is to illuminate the crown and the four corners down to the ground, primarily with white light. They are still playing with how much if any colored light to enable. (as per one of the lighting engineers) I am sure they will start testing it as it nears completion.
