Default Anyone commute to Center City from Doylestown?

Does anyone live in Doylestown and commute to Center City? How is the train line? Or is Doylestown just considered too far away for most people? Thanks

I commuted from Doylestown on the R5 years ago, before moving to Old City. The train ride takes a good 45 minutes in the best of weather. On snow days, wet-leaves days and for just about any other reason, it can take an hour and 15 minutes.
Its less expensive than driving into Philly, and if you like to read, knit, or get work done on your laptop, it can be productive time.

Thanks! I've heard that it's much faster to drive into Warrington and take the express train from there...the train only takes about 45 minutes. Still have to check all this out. Thanks again.

I commute form Lansdale and thats what it takes me to get to CC, so Doylestown must be 20 minutes more.

I take the 7:30 am express, and I get to SUburban at 8:15 or 8:20 am, everyday.

It's hardly a real "commute". It's more like a quaint ride to nowhere, though I know Doylestown isn't - nowhere! Sad that this is what passes for public transportation in this country...

Uhm, yeah, when they built the line to D-town, it WAS the only way to get to Philadelphia.

If you want lightning fast service, go to Japan.

I like the remoteness of the R5...specially when you come from a busy day in CC and then at the end of your trip, you're passing cows grazing in the feilds at the college.
