Exactly. I live a minute from Bistro Romano(my favorite). I am within an easily walkable vicinity of italian market. Yet there's times that I go to borders books, leave and see Olive Garden. Of course I could walk from Broad and Chestnut to 9th and Catharine to eat at Ralph's-or take a train to NY to eat at Babbo's-or use my frequent flyer miles and go to Tuscany-but I instead choose to go over and grab a quick bite at olive garden.

Oh, how dare I defy the tastes of those classier than I.

Oh wait-
-when I eat, its for me and not others?
-comparing personal tastes is as stupid as fighting over which is better, ketchup or mustard?
-those who judge others on personal tastes merely show their ignorance rather than any higher sense of being?

Yes, yep, and yessum.

Thank you, you proved the point! We have the BEST soft pretzels so we eat them, now we also have some of the best hoagies so why would anybody go to subway? Oh maybe I eat $hit for lunch to change it up a bit. and yes I would walk as long as it took not to eat at O.G. !!!!

hehehehe...ok, mel. Just for you I will give all of my employees a two hour lunch break so they can pay for a cab to go to their favorite italian hoagie place instead of walking a couple of blocks to subway where they get a lunch for less than $5 and are back quickly to help deal with customers.

I am equally toilet bound since I've been doing research for the burrito thread.

Default Yummy in my tummy

I am shocked to hear there are complaints about eating food from a gas station! Subway or not its in a gas station ... what do you exspect?

Subway sandwiches are not hoagies and the cost is slighty less and yes it is quicker. I eat at Subway when I am on the road but when on home turf I would never eat there over the great sandwich shops we have on pretty much every other block. This is not because I am a snob, yuppy or whatever ... in fact I like the OG. I don't think subway is materially faster and the price is only slighty less but you can't argue that the quality is comparable to most local shops.

I love Taco Bell because it is quick, cheap, and frankly it puts yummy in my tummy. But Taco Bell like Subway isn't quality by any stretch.

Most beautiful picture, ever. Did you know that Mr. Yuk was born in Pittsburgh?

Both Alesis and I eat at Subway from time to time (not together and we also know were to get non Subway food that is 'tasty' and high quality that the yups approve of. We are not alone. You assume everyone who eats at Subway has never heard of Sarcones or DiBrunos....haha.

My real name is Jerrod. I know nothing about these places named Sarcodonia's or DiBrunee's that you speak of.

Default Subway is great. Quizno's is terrible.

I like Subway because the stuff tastes good, you see them make it, they put the right amount on, and they have more stuff you can have put on the bread, like cucumbers and olives. The service is nice too.

I don't like sloppy, full hoagies that most places make locally because they are made for men. I can't eat all that stuff crammed between two pieces of bread.

One place I will never eat again is Quizno's. I have been to the one at 19th and JFK and the one at 8th and Chestnut and the employees are very rude at both places. They take too long to ask you what you want, they dilly-dally with each other, and they are overall very unprofessional. My money will no longer go to their rotten establishment.
