Default The one thing I will never understand about RittenHouse Park

why do I always see so many people who are alone sitting on a bench just watching people walk back and forth?? I mean if my life was that boring that I had to go sit alone in a park and watch people walk through then just shoot me quickly-lol

Is those people trying to pick up dates??-lol

A lot of them are old, and sitting on a bench in the park is the only time they get out of the house.

As to the younger people, some of them have kids that are playing the park.

And some are just out to people-watch. I know it sounds unexciting, but some people are perfectly content to sit and watch other people go by. Personally, I can't stand not having something to do, which is why I always carry a book with me.

There afew things better to do than sit in Rittenhouse Square and do nothing.

Very relaxing.

Agreed, I just spent my lunch hour doing that and listening to some music, it's one of my favorite things.

I sometimes blow off coworkers asking me to go to lunch just so I can go sit quietly and enjoy the park.

I do fear that someday one of them will see me doing nothing at all after I just told him I had errands to take care of.

Maybe some of them are stoned, or enjoy looking at attractive people of the opposite sex.

Rittenhouse is one of the nicest and safest parks I've ever been in. Nothing like a beautiful Spring afternoon relaxing in the park, I tell ya. Git yerself a sandwich and a soda, etc.
