The plaque about the Barrymores on Arch near 6th was removed. This is one of those old-fashioned-looking ones painted blue with yellow text. The post is there, but the plaque portion is gone. I read in another thread about missing manhole covers, so are thieves now targeting the plaques?

I can't believe this wasn't prevented... it's right it front of the Federal Reserve Bank (which always seems to have guards), and across from the Department of Homeland Security/federal building.

Also, out of curiosity, who is in charge of those signs?

They're erected by the PA State Historical Commission, I believe. They're now made of cast aluminum.

A church I used to belong to had installed new copper pipes.. not sure what they were for maybe sprinlklers.

the work was done outside, on the roof and someone climbed up there took them all down and stole them... neighbors thought they were workers.
