Default Any no surcharge ATMs left after the Wawa closings?

I looked through the Wawa threads, and caught no reference on if there's any other no surcharge ATMs in Center City.

Are there any? If so, where?

I'm moving to Center City from Cincinnati, and have decided to stay with my bank for the time being. (They have no branches in Philly; they're just in the Midwest).

Thanks bunches!

Default 7-Eleven

Atm's in 7-Eleven stores don't charge surcharges anymore. There is a 7-Eleven at 12th and Chestnut and also one on Filbert Street between 12th and 13th.

Belated thanks for getting back to me! (Every time I tried getting on to PhillyBlog in the mornings, it was always uber laggy, so I just kinda gave up.) Any excuse to go to 7-Eleven and get a Slurpee is a good one.

I hear ING Direct Cafe supposedly has a free ATM--at least that's what the sign on the door said as I walked in one day--but when I checked out the ATM, there was the standard disclaimer sign about how banks may charge service fees. I didn't try it, considering there were still Wawas around.

The 24/7's (which replaced most of the city Wawas) are surcharge free.

Previously, I would have told you to switch to Commerce Bank (no surcharge for customers, lots of locations in the city) but they've just been sold so I'm waiting to see how things go.

NO SURCHARGE ATMS

Wawa, Commerce Bank and some PNC machines...In fact, there is a PNC Machine on the mezzanine level of HUP that is not only surcharge free, but still issues money in denominations of $5.

Try some of the ones inside Hineyman Hospital. I know of a few which are free and I know of one which doles out $5 bills.
American.

Also I hear there is one at Jefferson at the 10th side entrance.

That's the same deal Wawa ATM's offered, no?
No surcharges at their end, but your bank still might charge you something.

TD Commerce Bank customer chiming in...

For at least the time being, TD Bank is making no major changes to Commerce Bank policies.

Since TD Banknorth is the only bank in the market to offer its customers totally fee-free ATM cards -- TD Banknorth refunds other banks' fees regardless how much you have in your checking account (which goes Commerce one better; Commerce's no-fees-at-all policy only kicks in once you have a balance of $2500 in all your Commerce accounts; until then, they'll never charge you a fee, but the other bank's fee, you pay) -- I doubt that the new combined bank will have a worse policy than Commerce's current practices going forward. Edited to add: Since June, Commerce and TD Banknorth customers can use each other's ATMs with no surcharges. Eventually, the two branch networks will unite under the trade name TD Commerce Bank.

I'd still highly recommend that you open an account at Commerce once you get here. They haven't mucked with the bank's famed customer service, either, right down to the toll-free phone number that puts you directly in touch with a real live human being (1-888-751-8000 -- why not call it now and open an account before you get here?).

PNC Bank ATMs in hospitals don't charge ATM fees. That's a very nice gesture on PNC's part.

The PNC ATM in the east entrance of Jefferson Alumni Hall (1000 block Locust Street) also dispenses fivers.

PNC Bank ATMs at PNC branches dispense one-dollar bills as well. The machines they replaced gave out change too. Downside: the bank charges non-customers $1.75.

Commerce charges non-customers a fee to use its ATMs.

PNC reimburses all ATM fees as well but I believe the account must have a minimum of $2K.
