I second Dr. Backiel. Clean office, professional staff, and overall as enjoyable as going to the dentist can be!

Annie, I wouldn't call the details "gory" so I hope I don't disappoint, but here are a few of my complaints about Dr. Dorey and her office:

1- Her pricing is WAY out of line. She prays on rich Rittenhouse residents who don't know any better or who feel like they are getting better service because they are overpaying.

2- Her staff skipped class when "Customer Service 101" was being taught.

3- Her workmanship isn't the best (and with her prices, it should be the best).

4- Equilibration. This is where the dentist grinds your teeth (health teeth!) to fix your bite. There are cases when this is necessary, but she wants to preform this procedure on most, or all, of her patients. It's expensive (surprise) and many dentists would agree that it should only be done in extreme cases. In sum, no one's bite is perfect but grinding down health teeth, when it isn't necessary, is just insane.

finding a good, reputable dentist is so important. especially now that we are living longer -- i hope my teeth make it into my old age with me!
