Between the existing (and very popular) store in King of Prussia, and Springboard Media just blocks off of Rittenhouse, Apple is simply not going to open a store in C.C. My advice is to simply stop caring, and let them cater to the suburban audience.

They get enough criticism when they place a store within a 20 minute drive of a current Apple Specialist shop, let alone mere blocks away from a highly regarded one. Besides, there is nothing that the Apple Store sells that Springboard doesn't also sell, at the same prices.

People seem to care more about the 'scene' than getting their Apple products. Is it safe to assume that the Springboard folks are more knowledgeable than the kids they stuff in the Apple stores?

maybe the people at apple look down on philly as being an unsophisticated blue collar town and low on the priority list?

I don't know, Allentown has one at the Lehigh Mall, and Allentown is not unsophisticated either, but then again, they do have the New Yorkers moving into the area, so that might be the reason.

That can't be true because Pittsburgh has two Apple stores.

The fact that Springboard and Bundy here are non factors for Apple. There was an independent Apple reseller in Seattle that made Springboard look like a drive thru window and Apple opened a store two blocks away.

Pretend like Suburban Square is the big city...take R5 train to Ardmore...spend day shopping and eating in Big City (Suburban Sq.). Shop at Apple store, then take train home...its Center City only in Montgomery County....

Well seeing that they been working on the Cherry Hill store for over a year now, I don't know what is in our Apple future, since Apple doesn't exactly tell anyone this stuff....

All I can say is we WILL have a Center City Apple Store in the near future...What I can't tell you is that is will it be a mini store(like the stores we have now) or a Flagship store..

Apple just likes to have the PERFECT spot. And n the bright side, at lease we have near by Apple stores...Australia is going to get there FIRST Apple store in 2009....Which the independent Apple reseller are not happy about...
