Hmm, now I realize that in the previous thread the KYW radio story never quoted the owner or employees, but only customers - not very thorough reporting by any measure. Has it re-opened with the same employees, who were allegedly only given 4 days notice of the closing?

I have no idea. I was across the street and saw customers walking out. I haven't actually been in the store in quite a while, so I wouldn't know whether they were the same employees.

We bought cakes from there all the time but I think I'm done. While closed I peeked in the window and there were a few mice. Every day after I peeked in and more mice. That place has a real problem. I was hoping they would have taken this opportunity to fix things up a little but it looks like they just started working again with little or no cleanup.

I was only kidding. I am sure they closed to get rid of the mice......why else?

It's the same nasty old woman behind the counter....but I think she's an owner. The rumor was that the building was sold and i pictured her retired and living in luxury. Life can be cruel, ya?
