or my saying....

"Hey, I just got back from Fairmount and everyone is really small. They use some odd form of barter to get what they need in the markets...I didn't have a chicken to spare. There are a lot of little elves, mystics, and troll-like people walking around there with U-locks and casting spells on things. People seem to be dining with their pets which is pleasant but more than once I heard..."I found a hair in my soup" in the local restaurants. There is a huge wall around Fairmount which keeps most of its citizens from leaving...but then again...keeps most of them "in". I can't tell what is worse. Most of all, the little Mounties always circulate amongst three or four restaurants every night. I really enjoy the native crafts displays in Fairmount. And the candle-making demonstrations are to die for. I hear that the blacksmith gets time and a half. Union guy. It is a wonderful place to visit even if they are all practicing cannibals. And the crime is particularly beautiful this time of year."

But then again......my vision of Fairmount would be all true.

I can also identify with women who are yelled at, with waitresses called "sweetheart" by customers, and with anyone who is grabbed by a superior at work.

On a side note, do you ask questions to yourself and then answer them in all your posts? Yes. Do you necessarily make your points any stronger by doing so? I don't think so.
Do not feed the trolls.

I came upon this thread a little late, but it is quite obvious this is "WebloVillage" posting this garbage.

I agree with most of you too. I am the king of offensive posts and setting people off but I can't defend the OP.I frequent FADO a lot right near there and have never had this happen to me when I walk by that area. If I did happened to get "hit on" I would just accept it as a polite compliment and just tell them nicely that I am straight.

Ah, but CountFunkula and guzzijason both forgot the most important part:

You have to mention in your very first post how attractive you are.

Default Let's make a pact

Can we all make a pact? Next time someone (specifically, a brand new poster, probably with a moniker starting with the letter "W") starts a thread along the lines of...

Center City: Unsafe & Hellish
Center City: Gay Playpen

...can we just ignore him please? Or at least, can we all just recognize him for who he is & not take him so seriously?

I mean, these threads can actually be an amusing diversion. Not so much though when too many people spend so much time trying to "convert" old Weblo/Wayne/W...

ETA: Yes! That's the spirit CF/GJ! (And yes, Butt-Head, I mean buttsy, IS From Philly. His MO is so obvious too now, no? Let's definitely agree to ignore him. 'K?)

Yea but isn't "converting" half the fun of PB? It only gets old after you start realizing that the person is a bit of a troll and ignores your facts and keeps making odd statements.

You can't tell me you don't notice this from post #1. If not, you just need to try a little harder.

Ignore him, why should we ignore him, he is hilarious. What I don't understand is why people take him seriously and get all riled up. He is like Colbert, being ridicolous for the sake of making fun of that type of person.

Yeah I tend to agree, but I still cringe when he posts something & you just KNOW someone's going to take it seriously. That's when the posts in response can easily make the thread spin totally out of control, which to me gets pretty dull/boring pretty fast.
