Not to worry the place itself will amaze you. We have worked hard! Minar Palace is back so watch out!

has anyone tried in NE philly the indian place in the Krewston shopping center, forgot what it is called?

Take out is half the price as sitting in for dinner (~$7 an entry). it is unbelievable indian food, i think best in city.

I loved Minar for lunch so hoping i can do lunches there and then come back to NE and have dinner there

Sorry, but I never got the "charm" of Minar, other than it was cheap. I went there once and order Banghan Burtah (sp?) to go. When I opened the container, there was an oil slick on top of my food. Ugh.

Yes Of course we will continue to deliver to the same area we did before. We are exploring possibilities of hiring a third party to deliver to areas like University City and other areas of the city where our loyal customers need us.

Bring your wallet - in ordering a delivery we nearly fell over at the prices at Tiffin...

Tiffin is not outrageously priced. Even the people at Minar are forewarning that the prices will be higher due to rising food costs, etc. As far as food quality goes, even my best memories of Minar are way beneath than the food I recently had at Tiffin. They are not even in the same stratosphere. On a side note, I've read that the original chef of Minar is actually opening his own restaurant at 19th and Market (Ashoka Palace.) So how good will the new Minar really be? I guess we just wait and find out.

I didn't suggest it was outrageous - your word - we'd simply been shocked that a dinner for two - delivered - was $65 before tip. It was a surprise, that's all. The food was excellent, though.

One will need to try Minar again - there's not only one decent chef around.
