From the front-page story on CNN found here:

"Police in Philadelphia told AP that authorities had confiscated 56 of the devices."

Fifty-six?! Did anyone happen to see any in/around Center City? I saw one in a bar in Houston back in November, but apparently most of the ones they're talking about in the news were only put up in the last 3-4 weeks, so it's probably not exactly the same thing.

I think this has to be the quote of the week:
"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."

A battery AND wires?!?! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! Anyway, interested if anybody saw any of these promos, and opinions of why Boston was the only city to launch into panic mode. As for Philly, maybe it's just because the finger is a standard greeting here.
