Default Police Chase in Fitler Square

My normally mundane walk home took an exciting turn tonight. About 10 cop cars were flying around Fitler Square looking for someone or something around 6:25. The sidewalks were packed and I saw at least two pedestrians almost get hit by squad cars without their lights or sirens on. I didn't want to stick around since it appeared that the person they were looking for was still on the move, but it appears the cops were concentrating on the 2100 block of Pine. Two cops there were scouring the sidewalk with their flashlights. I've got a good idea of what they were looking for, but I don't want to start any rumors. Does anybody have good info?

That was my first thought. But then I figured some Rittenhouse Square dame lost a very expensive earring and the cops were doing everything in their power...

It could have been a domestic with a gun. Dunno. Or they were searching for a vehicle. It takes a lot of cruisers to search for a car rapidly with all the one way streets around here.

So anybody got the skinny on what went down in Rittenhouse?

Is that separate from the Fitler incident? I haven't heard anything tonight.

No sorry, yes I meant Fit Square... I lump 21 & Pine into Rittenhouse although it probably really isn't considered a part of the Square. I catch myself using "B3" now and then.

Jeez if we had to put all the Center City neighborhood names on a CC map you'd just get a pea-soup of ink and would need a magnifying glass to ferret out where even the streets are. [I like that quirkiness, though]
