Yep, I heard 90 days as well but the thing is if you decide to leave in the middle of November, you have to wait until December 1st to start your 90 days. I just think that 3 months is way too long. In about a month or so, they'll be working on more unit, reworking the lobby, etc. Who the heck wants to go home and see, hear and potentially smell all of this mess??? Again, I think the one huge advantage to letting people go ASAP is that the workers can get into the empty units and get them converted. Why drag this out until next Summer and wait for the last survivors(renters) to leave? |

If I am not mistaken, they are extending everyone's lease for one year come December. So that would mean that you could have lingerers until December 2007.
I'm thinking that they are fearful of having no renters there because there would be no income during that time. They are spending only about a month on each renovation -- they are not doing all that much. |

Glad to know that there are upscale residences around that area. |

No offence taken.....at least not by me. I was just confused is all. It is a nice area and of course very safe but it is a hike from Market St.

"Sorry didn't mean to offend. It's the lack of activity around and between that area and Center City (Walnut and Chestnut) that concerns me.
Glad to know that there are upscale residences around that area." Ahhhh... are you aware that Whole Foods( and some other shopping) are going to build a new giant store on those surface parking lots somewhat adjacent to Lofts at Logan View between 16th and 18th Sts ? |

1601 Vine is a maybe. I wish it best of luck... most of the big banks passed on the financing, someone picked up a mini-loan on it. I believe something like $20 million for site prep etc.
Did you also know JAR bought Lofts at Logan View for $18 million and is planning to sell it for close to $40 million at their list prices. That's some serious arbitrage or they are crazy... your choice. Also, Tivoli has two bedrooms, comprable view for $550k with indoor parking, at Lofts @ Logan they go for $490k. If you value the parking at $25k, then what do you value the new construction, concrete floors, new windows, fitness center and proximity to an existing Whole Foods at? |
