Can someone tell me if this is one of the Krass Brothers that used to run a Mens Tailoring/Clothing shop down on South Street? I used to live in Philly many yrs ago but remember visiting the store quite a few times and I think the guy on this CD cover is one of the brothers. I rarely forget a face but it's been a very long time since I lived in Philly let alone been to Krass Brothers. I remember they had some fine suits there back in the 80's.

Yes, that's the late Ben Krass (of Krass Brothers, "901 South Street -- Store of the Stars!"). His is not a face you'd easily forget.

if you don't go to Krass Bros. .......you are a hockey puck.


Man, I don't miss him.

HEY PHILLYBLOG - SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!

Krass Bros. is gone now--it's a Whole Foods, and very lively around that area of South St.

actually, the Krass Brothers store was the store NEXT to the whole foods. it's the building that houses the hair stylist and for a time housed a dianetic store.

I remember when they were closing the store...I walked by and saw Ben Krass sitting in the middle of store, in a full suit, as workers took apart racks and carried out inventory. surreal sight, and a little sad.

but truly a Philadelphia institution.
